WHAT IS ONE-WAY IMMERSION?
Our French Immersion Program is a one-way immersion model, which means that French is the target language for all students. Students develop literacy in both French and English while learning academic skills. All students must be fluent English speakers to qualify.
CURRICULUM
In grades K-2, students receive academic instruction in French only. Beginning in the third grade, formal English instruction is introduced with an English teacher. In grades 6-8, students continue with Humanities in French and receive instruction in other subject areas in English to prepare them for the transition to high school.
